This necklace is made of solid Stainless Steel, not just plated. For the gold designs we added an 18K Gold PVD vacuum plating. Which means the color will last for a really long time and it will not fade or tarnish easily and its waterproof! When not in use we recommend storing in a clean, dark place in the box it comes with and keeping dry. Always dry your piece if it comes in contact with water.
